The UK Ladies

Catherine Friel, Jacqueline Tate and Ali McGregor all went to
the Royal Northern College of Music together. They divided
their time between harmony and counterpoint classes and clubs like the Hacienda
where they liked to listen to the pulsating pedagogy that was drum and bass
in the late 90’s. Since then Catherine Friel has worked extensively with
companies like the Carl Rosa Opera Co. both in the UK and overseas.
She has also appeared in ‘Smack the Pony’ and presented
‘City Nites’ for Channel 4. Jacqueline Tate has also sung with The
Carl Rosa Opera Co, sung with the London Symphony Orchestra and is one half of the Cabaret duo ‘The Scintillating Sinners’. You can read about Ali McGregor below or see www.alimcgregor.com
